Hello! Who else can not believe July is over? This year is so weird [obviously] and honestly I kind of love that with each passing month we are [hopefully] that much closer to things going a bit back to normal. I know we’re in for it the rest of the year, so let’s all keep on trucking and #wearadamnmask! That said, let’s dig into what I finished up this month:
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara – I love this mascara! The brush is super full and gives you big, dramatic lashes. This is probably in my top 3 favorite high-end mascaras. This with the Givenchy Primer is BOMB for a bougie combo that really delivers results!
Amika Bust Your Brass Shampoo & Conditioner – This one is a no from me. I don’t know how people rave about this, because this dried out my hair to NO END. It was literal straw after using this. Obviously I tried this when I went blonde a year and a half ago, and I just could not get on board. I honestly forgot I had this as I’ve since gone back to my natural color, but this is going immediately in the trash. My favorite blonde shampoo system is this one. Way cheaper and WAY more effective/nourishing.
Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Oil c/o – This is AMAZING. I’ve had it so long that they went and changed the package on me! But seriously that speaks to how long this lasts and how affordable and effective it is. I included it in my updated morning skincare routine, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing this.
Gillette Venus Disposable Razor – The razor finally went dull on this after living in my travel bag for the last year. This is a fine option for a travel razor, but honestly now I’ll just be taking my Billie with me [see below].
Billie Razor Cartridge – Y’all, the Billie hype is REAL. I absolutely love this shaving system, and the best part is the COST. Razors and refill cartridges can be outrageously expensive, but this system ships to your door for under $10. It’s worth every penny. Just try it if you haven’t already yet.
Dr. Plotkas Toothbrush c/o – This was sent to me in PR and I honestly didn’t have high hopes since it’s, well, a toothbrush. And when you’ve tried on you’ve tried ’em all, right?! Well, I LOVE this one! The double bristles give you a really good clean and the handle is comfortable to clean. According to their website, 99.9% of bacteria is eliminated from bristles within 6 hours after brushing due to their proprietary silver bristle technology. These toothbrushes are under $5 so worth a shot if you’ve been looking to try a new one!
Sweet Orange Essential Oil – I absolutely love diffusing this in my kitchen. Mixed with either lemon and/or peppermint, it gives a fresh and citrusy vibe to the whole place. It eliminates the smell of food and just leaves the kitchen and home feeling serene and calm. 11/10 recommend this!
Cloud Island Soothing Bubble Bath – This was just ok. It smelled decent and made some bubbles, but it was nothing to write home about. This brand is super cute and the packaging is A+, but for the price, I still always go back to this bubble bath for D [and me!].
