Fall/Winter Looks Travel

All the Texas things

I took last week off from the blog because I spent 5 days in Austin for Thanksgiving with my sister and her family and then went straight to Dallas for 4 days of long work meetings. It was a long week full of food, family, and a good mix of R&R and hard work. I wanted to share some of the amazing meals we ate and what I wore throughout the week. I thought that would be especially fun to share since I mixed and matched so many pieces [I packed for both trips in one bag] so I thought it’d give some good inspiration on how to pack light but still get a multitude of outfits.

Thanksgiving was amazing. We all got to relax at home, play with the kids, and enjoy a wonderful meal. How cute are the boys in these matching shirts?! LOVE.

On Black Friday, we went to Perry’s for a ridiculous pork chop lunch! It was truly epic. If you’re in the vicinity of one, definitely go on a Friday to check it out. After that, we took the kids to see Frozen 2! It was so good.

On Saturday we started the day with breakfast from Torchy’s. After that, we took our niece and nephew to Pinballz to celebrate their birthdays [which was in early November], followed by lunch at Whataburger. Is it even a trip to Texas if you don’t go to Torchy’s or Whataburger?!

On Saturday night we got a sitter for the kids and went out for a night on the town. We started at Seven Grand, which was actually Mike’s heaven! If you’re a bourbon/whisky lover and find yourself in Austin, I highly recommend checking it out.

We then went around the corner to The Backspace for some salad and pizzas. Everything was delicious! The giardineria salad was so good.

On Sunday, Mike and Dillon had to head back to Cincinnati so I got some work done during the day and then we took a long walk with the kids. At night, we went to Hula Hut for dinner since the weather was gorgeous!

After dinner, we moseyed on over to Mozart’s for this Christmas light and sound show! It was so fun and the kids loved it. The S’mores hot chocolate was a hit.

On Monday, it was time to head to Frisco for my week of meetings. We stayed at the Omni [how awesome is that view from my room?!]

We had dinner at Haywire which was delicious! The property itself is gorgeous, too.

I spent ten hours in a conference room on Tuesday so I don’t have much to share other than my outfit! But all the Christmas decor in the Omni was magical! How amazing is that tree?!

My company holiday party was PJ theme, so I wore this very appropriate set for the occasion!

Wednesday was another day spent in meetings but we ended the evening with dinner in the Cowboys Club, which was a super cool experience. And the food was obviously delicious.
