April Empties

I definitely slacked on the blog front this month, but it’s because I actually was out and about a teeny bit! Now that we’re fully vaccinated, we’ve had a few more restaurant outings and trips to see [other vaccinated] friends! I think that’s reflective in the products I’ve used up lately. As always, I’ll share the repeat empties at the bottom of the post with links to their original reviews so you can read up on why I love them so much and keep purchasing them. There’s a TON of old favorites, but a few new faces, too, so let’s dive in!

Solimo Mouthwash: I got this by recommendation from my dentist and I really liked it, especially for the price point. It definitely gave that clean mouth feeling without being too spicy or too tame.

Method Foaming Hand Soap: We used this in our downstairs bathroom and it was good. I don’t think it was life-changing [I grabbed it on a whim on an online order] but it does have a ton of great reviews. I like the Method brand and this did the job.

Bliss Vitamin C Eye Cream c/o: I got this in PR and, as always, Bliss killed it. This is a great eye cream, especially for skincare novices. It blended in flawlessly and did brighten my under eyes. A little went a long way so I’d recommend this, even more so if you’re new to skincare and want to try a clean, affordable brand to start.

Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam: This….sucks. In fact, I had a hard time finding it in stock to link it for this post which makes me think it may have been discontinued?! I was intrigued by the proposition so grabbed it on a whim at Sephora a while back. I truly do not know what I was thinking. I really do love Ouai products [especially the Rose Oil], but this was a dud. Especially since I have naturally kinky hair, this just made my roots curly?! It was bizarre. It smelled good but did not do any of the things a dry shampoo was supposed to do. PASS.

Bliss Pore Refining Volcanic Sand Facial c/o: This was another item I got in PR that pleasantly surprised me. These little babies retail for $5 and I got at least 3-4 uses out of it. You spread a thin layer on and leave it on for 10 minutes. I usually slapped this on while I was waiting for my le Gloss to set. This particular one has little exfoliators and I definitely felt like my skin drank this up and felt so smooth after. These are great to have on hand to throw into a gift or use for a girls night. I loved this [I have the other 2 varieties in backups so I’ll report back on those, too]!

Fenty Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer: I rarely stray from my tried and true skincare brands, but I had a Sephora gift card from Christmas and this item from Fenty intrigued me. I love Fenty cosmetics and the claims on the skincare are really good. I love that this one has an SPF. It is GLOWY [which I love] and I definitely felt like my skin liked this. I have a few moisturizers I’m working through but I would repurchase this in the future. I highly recommend checking Fenty Skin out if you haven’t yet. One cool thing about this is you can buy the refills of the moisturizer to slide into the pump for a cheaper price.

Derma E Cloud Foaming Cleanser c/o: This is an incredibly gentle cleanser that somehow gets you squeaky clean but doesn’t dry your face out. I really liked it. I used this in conjunction with an exfoliating cleanser and it definitely did the job. Derma E is a brand I’ll recommend again and again and this product is no exception.

Bliss Clarifying Toner + Serum c/o: I surprisingly loved this. I feel like toner is the one skincare step I’m too lazy to commit to. I have an Ole Henriksen one collecting dust in my drawer. This, however, having it combined with serum in one made it so easy to apply. This smelled so fresh and applied so nicely under my moisturizer. If you’re a “keep it simple” person when it comes to skincare, this product is for you. At under $15, it’s even more attractive. A few people have recently commented that my skin looks so clear and smooth, and I think this definitely had something to do with it.
