Yesterday was my 32nd birthday! I had a lovely weekend celebrating. Friday night I stayed in with a girlfriend and we made pizza from scratch and shared a bottle of red wine. On Saturday night, Mike and I go to to go out and enjoy an evening of adult conversation and an AMAZING meal at Please. Then on Sunday we had a few friends over for a casual backyard BBQ which was chill and perfect. But back to Saturday. My girl Katie recommended Please so many times so we of course had to check it out. It was the perfect place to celebrate. First, let’s get into what I wore.
I absolutely love this dress and felt like a million bucks in it. I can’t believe it’s under $30! I’m pretty sure Mike’s jaw dropped when he saw me in it. I paired it with an under $30 bag that kept the look fun but also polished. It was the perfect birthday look!

Now for the meal. WOW. This was super special. They have both an a la carte menu and a tasting menu, so naturally, we did both. The cocktails were outstanding [they accommodated my desire for tequila and made me a Paloma despite it not being on the menu, though it SHOULD]. The standouts for Mike were the pasta and the steak from the tasting menu [naturally] and I absolutely adored the salad from the tasting menu and the pork collar that I ordered. Talk about meat candy. The potato starter was also killer. While definitely an indulgent evening, it was quaint and comfortable. We will definitely be back for a special occasion in the future.

I’m feeling very lucky and filled with love for the life I live and it’s been an amazing year so far. I can’t wait to see what 32 has in store for me!
