Florida Travel Diary

Over Christmas, Mike, Dillon, and I decided to jet down to Florida for the holidays. Our family was all kind of scattered this year so we decided to take advantage of it being just us and take a little family vaca. It was the BEST week! We did, ate, and saw so much and got to soak up so much sunshine. Our hotel room at the Westin Beach Resort had a direct view of the ocean, which didn’t hurt either! Below are some photos and locations that made the week so very special. If you’re looking for a family-friendly place to visit, we’d highly recommend Ft. Lauderdale. It is so walk-able and there are kids and dogs everywhere! While we did rent a car for the week [which is how we got to Miami] you totally could do without one if you brought a car seat. The food is so yummy [we especially loved the food at Burlock Coast in the Ritz; we ate there 3 times!] and the beach is just gorgeous. It was 75-78* everyday and while it was very windy it was overall so nice.

So, there you have it! I cherish these photos and memories so much! I did want to say that two places we ate I didn’t get pictures but wanted to mention them. We got pizza at Big Louie’s on Christmas night and it was so good! It’s not far from the oceanfront strip and a nice break from there if you’re looking for something different. Next was Rosinella’s, which we ate at when we were in South Beach! That was some seriously good Italian. So, if you’re in the mood for that fare either in FLL or MIA, try them out! Let me know if you’ve been down to these parts and if there is somewhere we should try on our next trip. We definitely want to go back as we had such a good time!
