#GiftForGood with Ten Thousand Villages

I’ve said before how much I love working with companies that aim to give back. When Cincy Chic asked a few Thread babes and I to be guest stylists at their Gift for Good event with Ten Thousand Villages, I was sold! Ten Thousand Villages “is a nonprofit fair trade organization that markets handcrafted products made by disadvantaged artisans from more than 120 artisan groups in more than 35 countries”. They have so many unique items that would make perfect gifts for the Holiday season! The thing I love the most about Ten Thousand Villages is how much of an impact they truly make. They provide sustainable incomes for 20,000 people across the globe. Think about that. It’s truly amazing. I love the selection of products they carry, with everything from fair trade coffee to furniture to jewelry. There’s something for absolutely everyone there. Please keep Ten Thousand Villages in mind when doing your gift shopping this season. I walked away with this cookbook which features recipes from all over the world, these earrings which are so fun and a great pop of color, this marble tray which I’m using to store some odds and ends in my bathroom, and this ring which I rarely take off! See more on my instagram. All of these would make great presents for a girlfriend, sister, mom, aunt, mother-in-law, etc. Basically, any special lady (or man who loves to cook) in your life! You can visit Ten Thousand Villages in Cincinnati either in Rookwood or at Harper’s Point. And finally, a huge thanks to Cincy Chic and Ten Thousand Villages for having me!

Love love love Ten Thousand Villages! Great cause and beautiful store. Have you heard of marketcolors.org? They are an online store and non-profit as well with beautiful jewelry and accessories from Africa and India, needless to say…I'm obsessed! PS I've had my eye on that Michael Kors watch for a few months now and it's definitely going on my holiday wish list!!!

How cool! I love companies like this! Have you ever heard of GlobeIn? It's a similar concept except it's a monthly box service where you receive artisan items from all around the world.

Ok, so not only is this a great cause but everything is extremely adorable too. While I love supporting good causes, sometimes I'm not shaking my head at how silly some of the items are but these are outstanding. Thank you for sharing – tis the season to share & spread the wealth! xx, adaatude.com
