Spring/Summer Looks

Anniversary Dinner

Our 5 year wedding anniversary was on the 12th, so I chose this gorgeous dress [that’s only $25] for the evening’s festivities. I paired it with a fun bag [last seen here] and comfortable yet chic sandals and felt so pretty! Mike even complimented the look! The dress is so forgiving because of the empire waistband but still so flattering. I got my true size and it fits great. The sandals are a recent purchase and I love the color blocking as well as the block heel which makes them so comfortable. It only felt right to cap off the look with my favorite dainty heart earrings! It was perfect for an evening of indulging in amazing food and a bottle of Opus One at Postmark.

Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t share the amazing meal we had at Postmark! They were so kind and treated us to complimentary champagne to celebrate and then the night progressed from course to course and everything was just amazing. They let us bring in our own wine [we had been saving a bottle of Opus One for the occasion] which was so nice and then we indulged in a bevvy of starters, which included oysters for me [their West coast option was stellar], sweetbreads for Mike [not pictured because he devoured], their bread basket with garlic olive oil, and a splurge on some Jamon Iberico [if you know, you KNOW] with marcona almonds and quince paste. As if that wasn’t enough, we went all in on our main course, with Mike choosing the wagyu steak [of course] and I opted for tagliatelle [of course] and their asparagus [which was HEAVEN]. To seal the deal, we split their Apple dessert which had this gelato that we’re still talking about. All in all, it was an epic feast and so fitting for the occasion.
