My Dream Home Office Reveal

You guys. It’s HERE! I’m SO excited to share my home office reveal with you today! I had posted about a month back about how I started the process with California Closets Cincinnati, and I can’t believe it’s all come to life!

THE BEFORE – While I did love my desk, you can see how much space was being wasted. My file cabinet was eons old, you could see wires everywhere, my printer looked clunky out in the open, and honestly everything behind me was a hot mess. I had a ten year old pub table, a super janky bookcase [that I tried to style to the best of my ability, but it still looked a bit sad], and then a huge pile of clothes and boxes for my Poshmark. I knew there was a lot of potential in this room, but didn’t know how to capitalize on it with the current set-up.

THE REVEAL – I went with Bellissima White for my color and Elite Archied in Matte Gold hardware. We did Slab front style on the shelves and I incorporated a wine X to hold our stash [especially since I work in wine, I thought this was aesthetically and thematically important]. I knew I wanted some open storage to display objects, books, and frames, and I LOVE how everything turned out!

All the drawers have soft close glide, which I love. No more slamming doors/drawers! I also love that ALL of the cubes up to have grommets so that I can adjust the height anytime I want. There is so much space and I have room to grow into it or change it up over the years.

We did a pull out drawer here for my printer so I could tuck that out of sight. There’s space underneath for our routers, too, which I love being able to hide away.

Guys, we did a POSHMARK cupboard for me! In the past, my mountain of clothes waiting to sell on Posh woud just linger in the corner like an eyesore. Now, I have space for my boxes, tape, and actual items to live. This sounds silly but honestly is one of my favorite features.

We did a huge drawer to hold all my supplies, like tape, pens, etc, and I love how wide open it is for me to easily see everything.

We also did 3 drawers for storage of documents, back-ups, and folders and I am so happy to have this space. The bottom has customizable space for file folders and I can move it around how I see fit. Game changer.

Then, behind the built-in unit, I had space for a small conference table to host working sessions, a clothing rack for my go-to cardigans [that I wear while I’m working because I’m always freezing] or things I need to shoot for the blog, as well as a little coat rack for my laptop bag to hang nicely. I also added a mirror or some interest/depth.
