Spring/Summer Looks

Nearly Sweater Weather

While this outfit itself may not be revolutionary [although it is quite cute and comfortable, if I do say so myself!], the thing that IS revolutionary about this look is this backpack. Now that I have a full-blown, almost 2 year old toddler on my hands, I knew it was time to ditch the traditional diaper bag and go for something a bit more functional. Since I spend 99% of my time chasing him around, I needed to be hands-free. Once kids get older, you need less stuff, so I knew I could also stand to have a smaller bag. This backpack has been PERFECT for our on-the-go lifestyle. There’s a few pockets [I keep my wallet and keys in the outside zipper and diapers in the inside pocket] and my organizer fits perfectly inside for sunscreen, bug spray, etc. I can throw a few toys and snacks in and we’re ready to roll. If you have a younger child [especially one who is still drinking out of bottles and/or gets very frequent diaper changes]  I would not recommend this bag, but for toddler moms, definitely give it a whirl! In other news, both my lightweight sweater and these jeans [previously seen here + here] are amazing closet staples and under $70! As Maui says [anyone else’s kid OBSESSED with Moana?!], you’re welcome.
