November Empties

I can’t believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving!! Before all the Black Friday/Cyber Monday madness begins, I wanted to share my November empties with you guys. It was a ton of old faithfuls, but a few new tries as well. Let’s dig in:

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Cleansing Oil – Guys, I hated this. You know the Serum from this line is my holy-grail skincare product, so I was super excited to try that. While it did smell amazing, it really didn’t do much for me. I always had to double cleanse because this never got my makeup off. Maybe I got a bad batch, but save your money and buy the serum and eye cream instead.

Garnier SkinActive Ultra Lift Sunscreen + Moisturizer – This was great for the summer, but I won’t purchase this again for the winter. I would call this a straight up sunscreen, versus a moisturizer. It looked, felt, and smelled just like sunscreen. It wasn’t very nourishing and I often layered this under another moisturizer. While it was good for sun protection, I wouldn’t call this a moisturizer. Double up if you choose to try it.

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo – I got this with Sephora points and enjoyed it. I’m not crazy about Amika products but this was pretty good. It smelled amazing but did leave a white cast. It did the job but I’m not sure I’d repurchase.

Marc Jacobs Shameless Foundation [shade Medium Y320] – This foundation had controversial/conflicting reviews when it first launched. Many said it was too watery, but that’s actually why I loved it! It was super lightweight while still giving decent coverage. If you love heavy, full duty foundations, this isn’t for you. But if you’r ea light coverage gal, this is almost like a tinted serum. I really did like it.

Repeat Empties: Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Serum // L’Oreal Ideal Towelettes // Garnier Micellar Towelettes // L’Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer // Kiehl’s Grapefruit Body Cleanser // Vichy Deodorant // Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
