This is 35

In case you missed it on Instagram, I turned 35 last week and spent the weekend celebrating in style with both Mike and my girlfriends. I wanted to share some details and photos on here both for prosperity as well as inspo in case you’re in the market for planning what was, in my opinion, an amazing birthday weekend.

Mike and I started the celebrations on my actual birthday with our tradition – dinner at Jeff Ruby’s. I wanted to do an all sushi dinner, and it did NOT disappoint. We got the Mega Block, Miami Roll, and Godfather Roll, and they were all divine. We had cocktails and oysters and it was a beautiful evening.

Then, on Friday night, one of my best friends also turns 35 in a few weeks so we decided to join forces for an epic girls night. We started at Okto for dinner [highly recommend the lamb gyro, grilled octopus, and lobster pasta], then we kicked off karaoke at Tokyo Kitty, complete with wigs and sequins. We had an absolute BLAST! We then ventured to Righteous Room [for the nostalgia], Somerset, and Shanghai on Elm to finish the [late] night #IYKYK. The vibes were perfection and it was seriously such a fun time.

After a nice sleep-in at the 21C, we woke up and ventured to Salazar for brunch. I will be dreaming of that Goetta Sandwich for days. We popped into the Kinley for a glass of wine and then we had massages and facials at Inner Peace. We followed that up with some bubbly in our room before dinner at Nada.

Sunday concluded with drag brunch at Metropole and it was the perfect agenda to conclude the weekend.

So, there you have it! Thank you all so much for the kind messages. I am so ready and energized to tackle my mid-30s and beyond. Let me know if you try any of the spots we did; I recommend it all!
