Top 5 Favorite Concealers

Happy Monday! I saw Kacie talking on her insta-stories about how she wanted to share her favorite concealers because, hey, mommin’ is hard and we need to encourage and support each other. What better way than letting each other in our best kept secrets?! As a new mom and a woman of color, the bags under my eyes are for real. I have a lot of hyper-pigmentation on my face, as well, so concealer really helps to take my makeup to the next level. Below I’m going to share my top 5 favorite concealers, what shade I am in each, and why I love them so much. I am totally that extra female who may use more than one concealer in one makeup look. #sorrynotsorry. Let me know if you love any of those or if there are any others I should try!

swatches from bottom to top:
Urban Decay Weightless Concealer – I would call this my holy-grail concealer. The coverage is perfect for everyday and it never creases or crinkles under my eyes. The shade range is pretty good and I always have a good makeup day when I wear this concealer. I am in the shade light/neutral and since I like my concealer lighter than my foundation, this shade works well for me. This concealer has a wand that is the perfect size for the under eye triangle.

Boots No 7 Radiant Glow Concealer c/o – This concealer really surprised me. As you can see in the swatch, it’s pretty sheer, but it’s definitely buildable. It’s really light and airy and it almost feels like you’re wearing nothing. It definitely delivers on the radiant glow part because it’s really brightening. I found shade 10 to be my best match.

True Match Crayon Concealer – This is the concealer I use to spot-check. It’s perfect for dabbing onto problem areas and because of the tip, you can really control the spot you need to. The formula is really creamy and it looks good under foundation. I am in the shade fair/light but I could probably get a backup in one shade darker for the summer. I think this product should match your foundation so there aren’t random spots on your face that are lighter.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – This is the concealer I reach for when I really need some serious coverage. This is probably the heaviest concealer I own, but it is definitely not cakey. It provides a really good amount of coverage but doesn’t crease on me. A lot of beauty gurus swear by this concealer and I can see why. My under eyes look like light and bright when I use this. This is also a great concealer to highlight your nose with. I am in the shade Medium Custard.

YSL Touche Eclat – This concealer used to be my absolute jam. I don’t know why I stopped using it so much but everytime I go back to it, I’m pleased. It’s really creamy and blends like a dream. I am in the shade 3.5 and it works well year-round. This applicator is the kind where you push the bottom so the product squeezes through the bristles. So, if you’re not into that, this kind may not be for you. I don’t mind which type of applicator my concealer has so I love this.
