Vegas Vacation

It’d been a year since I last went to Vegas, and Mike and I decided to jet on over to celebrate his birthday [and mine a little belatedly] and, boy, did we do just that! We had an amazing weekend full of great food, yummy drinks, TON of walking [we walked 70K steps over the 3 days we were there!], and just general good times together. Here’s what we got into:

Day 1 – Friday

Up and at ’em at 4AM for our flight out! How insane was that view?!

My in-flight makeup routine:

After we landed, we dropped our luggage off at the hotel, did a quick outfit change, and then did a good bit of walking around. We stopped at In-N-Out for a burger and took in some sights on the strip.

After we walked around a bit, our room was ready so we checked into our suite at the Bellagio, which was unbelievable. The view was just insane.

Then went to the pool for a couple hours. Their pools were amazing and we soaked up the sun [and some drinks].

Mike’s Outfit:

After hanging out at the pool for a while, we took another walk on the Strip, did some shopping, grabbed a snack, then got ready for dinner at Catch at Aria. It was SO good! After that, we went out on our own for a bit but called it a night around 10:30 since we had been up since 1:30AM Vegas time! But I highly recommend Catch. The mango shrimp sushi roll, filet, and lobster mac were all amazing.

Day 2 – Saturday

It’s Mike’s birthday! We woke up and went down to Sadelle’s for breakfast. Wow, it was delicious! Their mimosas were flavored with passionfruit and totally divine. We indulged there before getting ready to go to the pool for the day. I got the eggs benedict and Mike got a classic breakfast that had a hashbrown that we’re still talking about.

My brunch outfit:

We had booked a daybed at the Cypress pool, but unfortunately due to high winds that day, they cancelled our reservation. But, it ended up being OK because we still got some quality pool time in.

Mike’s outfit:

After the pool, we hit up Casa Fuentes for a cigar and cocktail [the Spicy Lover is one of the best I’ve ever had!]. Then, we took a little nap before we had dinner reservations at L’Atelier! This was Mike’s birthday celebration and we had a blast. Dinner at L’Atelier was truly a treat. I had eaten there on my first ever Vegas trip almost 10 years ago so it was nice to go back and really be able to enjoy it. We had some yummy cocktails, a scallop and langoustine appetizer course [that we both preferred the crispy langoustine], a mushroom spaghetti, and a wagyu beef ribeye with mashed potatoes that was truly one of the best things we’d ever eaten. We finished with a banana mousse dessert that had rum shaved ice and pineapple which was equally divine. It was such a special meal for my special guy!

After dinner, we had tickets to see Steve Aoki at Hakkasan! I had never been to a proper Vegas nightclub before [shocking, I know] so I knew we had to do this. We made it til about 1:45AM before our feet were killing us and our ears were ringing! But it was definitely an experience.

My Saturday night dinner/clubbing outfit [wearing a L in the bodysuit and skirt but could’ve done a M in both]:

Day 3 – Sunday

On Sunday, we basically spent the day eating, drinking, gambling, and wandering. We started the day at beer park for some brunch + football, went back to the pool for while, then we spent a lot of time in Cosmo, Aria, and the Shops at Crystal and we for sure indulged. We got milkshakes at Holstein’s, cocktails at Ghost Donkey, grabbed a slice at Secret Pizza, shopped around, and the ended with dinner at Jasmine. The seafood fried rice was insane. It was a great last day.

So, there you have it. Everything we ate, drank, saw, did, and wore. This was a truly epic weekend and felt very classic Vegas. We definitely splurged and indulged on this trip but it was the perfect way to celebrate Mike; he deserves it! Let me know if there’s someplace we should make sure to see on our next trip.
