Where to Eat + Play in Mumbai

While I shared my outfits from our India trip on Monday, I also wanted to share where we ate this trip because we had some seriously good food. If you’re planning a trip to India, I’d highly recommend all of these places!

Copper Chimney [Worli]

Copper Chimney is an absolute MUST in India. It’s always the first place I request to go. Get the murgh makhni, Anything else is a bonus. But seriously, it doesn’t get better than this.

Pan Asian [ITC Grand Maratha]

Pan Asian is an upscale Asian restaurant inside the ITC Grand Maratha hotel. It is STUNNING. We ordered a ton of stuff off the menu but I highly recommend the pad thai, the tempura prawns, the chili chicken, and The Last Cocktail. This place is pricey but worth the swanky atmosphere and delicious food. The entire property is gorgeous, too. We saw them setting up for a fancy wedding and WOW. It’s worth a trip. There’s a beautiful bar in there too.

Persian Darbar [Andheri]

This place was so good we ate it twice. The chicken from there was out of this world. We got the tandoori, an asian chili version, and a chicken tikka and they were all mouth-watering. They deliver on Swiggy [which is India’s version of Door Dash/Uber Eats] so you have no excuse not to try it.

Gateway Taproom [BKC]

This awesome brewery pub is located in the Bandra Kurla Complex so it’s surrounded by a ton of stuff to do and see. We stumbled in kind of on a whim after a quick google search and we were so impressed! They brew their own beers which were super tasty and the food was actually phenomenal. I got a lamb burger that I’ll be dreaming of for days, my mom loved her veggie burger, and Mike and Dillon devoured the chicken schnitzel and mashed potatoes [which Mike says are the best he’s ever had]. If you have a free day around the BKC, definitely find your way here! Another restaurant I’d recommend in BKC is Masala Library, which we went to on our last trip to India.

Vikhroli Social [Godrej Complex]

This was another place that had absolutely awesome food and a super chill vibe. Located inside the Godrej Complex in Vikrohli, this location has awesome bar/breakfast type food and a huge drink menu. I got a chicken tikka burger that was delicious and Mike ordered this massive breakfast tray that had some blueberry pancakes that are worth the trip alone. My little cousin did a hot wing challenge and we also enjoyed some other small apps. A fun vibe, especially with a big group!

Barometer [Pune]

We spent Christmas Eve in Pune, which is actually such a fun city. There are so many good options, and we ended up at Barometer for a little reunion with one of my cousin’s and his family. We had an absolute blast and that Spicy Chili Mango Margarita was to die for. We ordered some small bites that were delicious and their menu is surprisingly huge. I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in Pune. It’s super Instagrammable, too!

So, there are all of the note-worthy places we ate while we were in India. Mike, Dillon, and I all massively enjoyed and it was so fun to try both new and old places alike. While we also did order Dominos pizza [twice], visited McDonalds, and ate Chicken Wings at The Irish House, these more unique places are where it’s at, no matter the type of cuisine you want. I’m seriously impressed with how India’s restaurant scene is evolving. Let me know if you have any questions!
