As you may remember, I have a series on Nines to 5 called “A Few Of My Favorite Things”, where I overview products, places, or processes that I really love. I’m going to start a sub-series of that called “A Few Of My Favorite Places”, and this is the first edition! You all know I LOVE to travel and sneak in some travel posts from time to time around here. I wanted to be able to share with you guys some of my adventures and places that I really recommend going. First up:
Austin. Austin is one of my, if not my ultimate, favorite cities in the US. My sister and her family live there, so we’re lucky enough to go there a few times a year. From the food, the music, the people, and the weather, you just can’t go wrong. I’ve been to Austin more times than I can count and we always find new things to do every time I go. Below I’ll be sharing some photos of my favorite things to do in the city and links to the places (if available).
Best BBQ –
Best Place for Breakfast Tacos – Torchy’s Tacos (top) & Taco Deli (bottom)
Best Japanese – Uchiko – the ceviche is what dreams are made of! See the full post here.
Best Neighborhood Food – Foreign & Domestic – fried chicken biscuit. enough said.
Best Place to Catch a Movie – Alamo Drafthouse
Best Place for Tubing – Comal River
Best Place for Shopping + Food Trucks – S. Congress
If the above photos + links have successfully convinced you that you need to go visit (which you do!), check out this amazing rental for your stay. It’s within walking distance to Rainy Street (where Banger’s Sausage House is) and super close to so many other fun spots in the city.
What are your favorite cities in the US and what other trips would you like me to show in this series?
My name is Preeti and I am a wife, mother, sister, and friend who is navigating my way through life in Cincinnati, OH.
I work in the beauty industry for a living and work from home, so Nines to 5 is my place to express myself through fashion. Just because I have a home office doesn't mean I can't dress to the nines for my 9-5!
