A Week of At-Home Workouts

I asked on Instagram last week what you all wanted to see while we’re on quarantine, and I got a TON of requests for at-home workouts. So, I thought the best way to do that was to share exactly what I did over a full 7 days. Prior to COVID, I was on a 3 day gym [Tues/Thurs/Sat] + 1-2 at-home or low impact [usually Wednesday + Friday; either a walk, yoga, or running around with Dillon] workout regimen that was working really nicely for me. I’m trying to keep that up while we’re at home so I figured I’d share my updated routine. As a disclaimer, I use my apple watch to track my workouts and still love it. Let’s dive-in.

Thursday 3/26 – Mike & I did a strength training [arms] workout at home. I loved this arm circuit and we both really felt it! In the afternoon, we went on a 1.25 mile hike as a family in a deserted wooded area near our house. Here is the workout [you can screenshot this from your phone or save this image and email it to yourself]:

Friday 3/27 -Took this day as a bit of a rest and just did a 0.8 mile walk around our neighborhood in the afternoon.

Saturday 3/28 – We did a 1.33 mile walk around our neighborhood in the morning and then I joined in a zoom Zumba class taught by my favorite instructor! She has a FB group you can join here to get the invites to her classes. I’ve also heard good things about the Zumba videos on Amazon.

Sunday 3/29 – The weather was beyond perfect this day so we spent a ton of time outside. We did a 1.75 mile walk around our neighborhood in the morning and then in the afternoon we did a 1.25 mile hike in a park nearby our house [while keep safe distance from others of course, but it was pretty empty where we went]. I highly encourage you to not discount just walking/hiking around where you live if weather permits!

Monday 3/30 – I had a pretty busy day with work that day so I couldn’t do too much but I did do a 1 mile walk around the neighborhood with Dillon in the morning.

Tuesday 3/31 – I did a leg + ab strength training circuit at home using my at-home weights linked in this post. It took exactly 30 minutes and I got surprisingly sweaty. I worked this into our daily schedule and it was the perfect way to kick off the day. Here is the workout:

Wednesday 4/1 -Both Mike and I had pretty busy work days this day so we didn’t get a chance to workout. We were able to sneak in a 1.25 mile hike as a family after Dillon’s nap and in between our conference calls. It was kind of chilly this day but it felt good to get out of the house.

Thursday 4/2 – I did an at-home sculpt workout this day from one of my favorite YouTube channels, Popsugar Fitness. This channel has a TON of great videos that offer a variety of workouts for different muscle groups. I always recommend this channel for in-home workouts. This particular workout was a fun mix of strength training, kick boxing, and ab work.

So, there you have it! A full week of workouts that you can mix and match on your own. I hope that gave you some inspiration to stay fit and healthy while on quarantine. Don’t underestimate the power of fresh air and Vitamin D if you can’t commit to proper workouts; that is completely okay! Check out this post for even more at-home workout options. This post contains all my essentials for staying fit and healthy, even at home. Thanks for stopping by!
