May Empties

Who else cannot believe May is over?! We’re almost halfway through 2018 which is insane. May was a truly crazy month for me full of travel across three time zones and I used up a TON of stuff along the way! I’ll keep this intro short and sweet so here’s what I went through this month:

COSMETICS

Infallible Pro Spray – I love this spray. I’ve gone through probably 4 or 5 of these and for me, it’s the ultimate setting spray. It counteracts when I go too hard on the highlighter [which I tend to do] and keeps my t-zone from getting shiny. The spray nozzle is great [which makes a big difference] and you can’t beat the under $10 price tag.

Urban Decay One & Done Foundation – This is one of my all-time favorite foundations. I usually mix it with my L’Oreal Pro-Glow and you have the perfect amount of coverage and glow. I also love that it has SPF but doesn’t smell or have a white undertone. This is a truly great product and I highly recommend it.

L’Oreal Magic Lumi Highlighter – This was a hidden gem I had forgotten about. I use this as concealer and it does an amazing job of brightening the under eyes. It doesn’t crease and the formula is perfectly creamy and blendable. I bought a new one of this immediately after I ran out because I forgot how much I love it.

Beauty Blender – I go back and forth between foundation brushes and sponges and lately I’ve been on a sponge kick. I’m not going to lie, these are not my favorite. I much prefer this sponge but had this one on hand so I used it until it could take no more. For the price, I don’t think I’ll be rebuying a Beauty Blender anytime soon.

L’Oreal Concealer Sponge – Now this is a sponge I love. No other sponge can get my under eyes quite like this one. At first I thought this was maybe a frivolous step, but I truly love using this sponge.

Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliner – I had had this forever and finally ran out. I’m not too picky with eyeliners for my waterline and this one did the job just fine. It wasn’t life-changing but for the price it was good.

Peter Thomas Roth Skin To Die For Primer – I got this in my Play! box and was so excited to try it. It has the consistency I love in primers and every time I used it I had a great makeup day. However, after a few uses, I noticed that I got some gnarly pimples and this was the only thing I had changed. Once I stopped using it, my skin cleared up. It was a big bummer because I really loved it however I read the reviews and some people did say it broke them out. If you’re skin isn’t prone to that, give this a go but if you’re sensitive I’d steer clear. Major sad face.

SKINCARE

L’Oreal Pure Clay Cleanser – This combined with the Cicacream mentioned below is my new holy-grail cleanser/moisturizer duo. I normally like exfoliating cleansers but this was the first clay-to-mousse cleanser I’d used and I fell in love. It’s lightweight, smells great, gets your makeup off, and I truly noticed that my skin felt clean after using this. I HIGHLY recommend this.

L’Oreal Revitalift Cicacream – Ok guys, this product has been a GAME-CHANGER for me. I had been using this which had a pretty price tag of $60. This cream is $13 and has totally changed my skin. My pores are smaller, my wrinkles have decreased, my skin feels firmer, and I’m just glowing overall. I highly, highly recommend you give this product a try.

Face Masks [Coco // Kiwi // Mattify] – I am a big sheet mask junkie and I loved all of these. The Mattify one in particular was amazing. It smelled SO good and I was glowing after I used it. The Kiwi and Coco ones were super hydrating and perfect after flights.

Ole Henriksen So Nurturing Towelettes – These smell SO GOOD. While they’re not my favorite towelettes ever, I really enjoyed using these. They took my makeup off well and the scent was enough to keep using them for.

Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Cleanser – I got this in my Play box! and I really was surprised how much I liked it. Again, I typically gravitate towards exfoliating cleansers but this one got deep in there and really got all the gunk off my face. It smells good, too!

be good. Baby Conditioner c/o – I actually used this both as a body wash and conditioner for D. It smells so good and made his skin so soft. Plus, I love that the ingredients are really nice and unharmful. This line has a great message behind it.

MISC

Orange Essential Oil – You know the drill with these. Orange is a go-to for cleaning and deodorizing in our house so another one bit the dust this month.

Lovebug Here’s the Skinny Probiotic c/o – This is my favorite probiotic for myself. I notice a huge change in my gut health when I take this and I’m always more *ahem* regular. I highly recommend checking this brand out. Even D takes the one they make for babies! Introducing a probiotic into my regimen has been so good for me.

Perfume Minis [Replica + Oud Wood] – I actually have the full size of the Replica and it’s hands down my favorite summer scent. The Oud Wood is super smoky and sexy and I loved using this for date nights. They’re both so different but equally delicious.
