MLB All-Star Game- Cincinnati City Guide: NKY Edition

image via ESPN

In case you haven’t heard, the 2015 MLB All-Star Game is being held in our beloved Queen City of Cincinnati this year! The girls of Thread Cincinnati and I thought it would be super fun to put together some neighborhood guides for all those who will be in town for the festivities. We are all spread across the greater Cincinnati area, so we have a good feel for the must-dos around town. I live across the river on the Kentucky side, so I’m going to share with you some of my favorite spots in Northern Kentucky that you must visit. My house is approximately 4 miles from the Reds stadium, so you can see everything is pretty close by. In just an 11 minute drive between my house and the ballpark, you’ll find TONS to do and not enough time to do it all. I’m going to break it down below by category, so you can pick what would interest you the most. I hope everyone enjoys all the city has to offer during this exciting time and that you’ll come back to Cincinnati for more fun!

SHOPPING

There is some great consignment shopping in Bellevue. Bella On The Avenue and Le Sorelle are my favorites for finding gently used, designer items at great prices.
Take a 15 minute drive south to shop at the outdoor mall in Crestview Hills.
FOOD/DRINK

Brunch at Bellevue Bistro.
Have drinks/apps with a perfect view of the city at Buckhead Mountain Grill.
Savor pad thai and sesame chicken at Siam Orchid (my husband and I go once a week!).
Take a tour of New Riff Distillery and sample some KY whiskey.
Get the fried green tomatoes at Ottos.
Go bar hopping in Mainstrasse before the big game (just a walk over the bridge to the ballpark).
Do some wine tasting at Generation Hill Winery.
For a unique view of the city, have dinner at the revolving restaurant atop the Radisson Hotel.

ATTRACTIONS

Experience all Newport on the Levee has to offer, including an aquarium, a movie theatre, shopping, restaurants, a bowling alley, a comedy club, and games/entertainment.
Pick up some fresh fare at the Bellevue Farmers Market.

Help celebrate Covington’s Bicentennial and participate in all the festivities.

Check out a guide to Mt. Lookout/Oakley over on Blanc X Noir!
