September Empties

It’s that time of the month to share what products I’ve used up lately. There were a lot of old favorites but also a few newbies that are worth a chat so here we go:

Moroccanoil Protect & Prevent Spray — I think I got this in my Sephora Play Box and I was excited to give it a try. It’s supposed to keep your hair color looking vibrant while using hot tools while also preventing heat damage. I need both those things so I was game. While I thought this was OK, it definitely didn’t rock my world. Moroccanoil items aren’t cheap, so I probably wouldn’t purchase the full size of this, but it did a decent job. If you can sample this, it may work well for you if you have dry and color-treated hair.

HUM Nutrition Daily Cleanse — While I only took a 3 day sample of this, I enjoyed it. I felt like my skin looked great that week [it probably didn’t help that I exercised every day and was drinking a ton of water], but I always love HUM products so I’d recommend this if you’re looking to incorporate a skin supplement into your regimen.

Smashbox Primer Water — Everyone in the beauty community has raved about this for years, so I ended up grabbing it in a Smashbox set. I LOVE their face primers [they’re probably my overall favorites], so I thought I’d give the spray a go. I didn’t love it as much as everyone else does, and my nozzle was funky so it wasn’t a clean spray [which I’m weirdly picky about]. I’ll stick to other sprays I know and love, but will continue to purchase the actual primers from this range.

Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Mask — I LOVE THIS MASK! Wow. One of my favorites of all time. My skin would literally be glowing after I used this and I loved the ingredients in it. I would put it on 10 minutes before hopping in the shower and scrub it off in there and I would always come out feeling squeaky clean and radiant. Definitely give this a try if you’re a mask junkie like me. Kiehl’s rarely does me wrong.

Glamglow Glowstarter Moisturizer [in “nude glow”] — I think this was another Playbox item and I loved it! It has a beautiful glow, I loved the scent [thought it’s pretty saccharine], and it wore gorgeously under makeup. It’s a great product for no makeup days, too. Once I wore through some other moisturizers I have on hand, I’ll probably purchase a full size of this in the future. It is good and does exactly what it says.
