I shared this on Instagram to a tremendous response so I figured I’d drop it all in one post here! Target recently dropped their latest Designer Collection, featuring Sergio Hudson, Kika Vargas, and La Ligne. The entire collection is chic, fun, and [mostly] BRIGHT! Here’s what I scored and my thoughts on each piece:
Sergio Hudson Bodysuit [Size Small; $35] – This piece is GORGEOUS! The fit is TTS and the bodysuit is a full-butt. This is a top recommendation for me for sure. Final verdict? KEEP.
La Ligne Wide Leg Trousers [Size XS; $40] – The fabric and feel of these is incredible. I’m 5’3 and even the XS is a smidge long. It’s an elastic waist so I was able to make the XS work, however I did re-order in my regular size S, and I’m keeping those. Usually the length would’ve steered me away, however these are so gorgeous that I really want to make them work. I’d call them TTS, with the exception that they are long, especially if you’re petite. Final verdict? KEEP.
Sergio Hudson Zebra Dress [Size S; $45} – This dress is incredibly flattering. I’m in my usual size S, and while it fits, it is is SNUG. The voluminous sleeves and plunging necklace add some drama while the black skirt really hugs your curves. If you have a fun winter event, this would be great for that. Full disclosure: I’m returning that as it’s a bit too tight for me to feel comfortable, but if that doesn’t bother you, I’d recommend this! Final verdict? RETURN.
Kika Vargas Puff Sleeve Dress [Size S; $45] – This dress adds some serious playfulness! The voluminous skirt is definitely not for everybody, but I think this dress is adorable. This is really short, though. If you’re over 5’5, you may be showing more skin than you’d wish for. If you’re petite, this would work for you. I’d just recommend some full coverage shapewear underneath. But I would bet you don’t have anything like this in your closet. Full disclosure: I’m returning this as it’s just too short for my own personal preference. It is so cute, though! Final verdict? RETURN.
La Ligne Smocked Bodice Dress [Size S; $45] – I love this dress! It is so comfortable and forgiving but the slit makes it still super feminine. You can dress this up with heels or boots or down with sneakers. This would be gorgeous for fall family photos, too. Final verdict? KEEP.
Sergio Hudson Leopard Dress [Size S; $45] – Oh my god. Bury me in this dress. I don’t think anything has ever fit more like a glove. Seriously, this dress is stunning and I would’ve never guessed it was under $50 from Target. This will be gorgeous around the holidays, but could definitely work year round. This is, for sure, one of my favorite pieces from ANY Target collection ever. Final verdict? KEEP.
Sergio Hudson Blazer [Size S; $55} – I saved the best for last. This blazer is a knockout. Everything from the fabric to the cut is perfection. I don’t own anything in this color and now I never need to again! This is a power blazer for work or a statement-maker for the evening. I am obsessed with this. This is for sure my #1 recommendation. Final verdict? KEEP.
So, overall, my top winners were from Sergio Hudson by a landslide, though I also loved my La Ligne pieces, too. The Kika Vargas pieces were all super cute in theory, though the execution didn’t really work on my frame. Were you able to snag anything from the collection? Which piece was your favorite?
