Hospital Beauty Must-Haves

One of the things I thought would be fun to share while I’m here in the hospital on bed rest is what is keeping me sane, beauty-wise. Because of my unique situation, I obviously didn’t have time to pack a hospital bag, so I’ve really been able to realize what I can’t live without. God bless Mike for constantly bringing me stuff from my bathroom that I remember I want! These items are all great for me while being here because they keep me feeling fresh and (somewhat) put together but are also all really great low-maintenance, everyday products. I really recommend these products for mamas-to-be at any stage in pregnancy, as well. Let me know if any of these make your holy-grail status, too!

.) L’Oreal Blow Dry It Longwear Spray – This dry shampoo is a great, affordable option. I’m obviously not washing my hair everyday while I’m here, so I spritz some of this in before throwing my hair up in a top knot. It smells good and keeps everything feeling fresh when I’m too lazy to wash my hair. Any dry shampoo, though, is a lifesaver.
.) The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil – This product works overtime on both my skin and hair. I mix in a bit with my body lotion to keep my skin glowing and I also run a bit through the ends of my hair to keep it shiny. It smells amazing and I love the formula.
.) Clarisonic Gentle Foaming Cleanser – This cleanser is so soft and gentle, just like it says. I have to limit my shower time here (maybe TMI), so it does the job in a short amount of time.
.) L’Oreal Ideal Clean Towelettes – I keep these by my bedside for a quick refresh in the morning or to take off the day at night. The scent isn’t overwhelming on these like some towelettes I’ve tried and they’re a great, affordable option.
.) Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Body Lotion – This is my all-time favorite body lotion. It’s so moisturizing with a really subtle scent. It heals even my driest patches (looking at you, knees and elbows). I always keep a bottle on hand. Pricey, but worth it for my skin.
.) L’Oreal Infallible Eyeliner – This is THE blackest eyeliner that doesn’t budge. While I haven’t been wearing makeup in the hospital, having eyeliner on makes me feel like I at least look alive! I keep one of these in my purse and car, as well, as it’s always good to have on hand.
.) Biore Charcoal Pore Strips – These are just a necessity. Again, even though I’m in the hospital, I’m trying not to totally let myself go. These help the pores on my nose appear smaller. I’ve always been a little self-conscious of the skin on my nose and these go such a long way.
.) L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Balm – These are my go-to lip balms for a rush of moisture and a touch of color. The shades are really subtle and just add a little tint while being super moisturizing. I have these in literally every color and keep them by my bedside here.
.) Kiehl’s Grapefruit Body Wash – This body wash is nourishing and luxurious and I love the scent. It makes me feel like I’m at home in my own shower. I am such a Kiehl’s body junkie, and this product is no exception.
.) L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask – Even though I’m in the hospital, I still want to pamper myself. My skin is actually feeling really good from taking such a long break from makeup, but this mask really helps to pull out impurities and keep me glowing. I highly recommend this range of (affordable) masks if you’re looking for a new one to try!
.) Kiehl’s Hand Salve – This product is so great at keeping my hands soft and supple.
.) GlamGlow PoutMud – this lip mask has been a Godsend for my dry lips here in the hospital. I put some on before bed and wake up with super soft lips. It’s pricey but worth it to me. My lips are always cracking and dry and this is one of the few things that really works.
.) Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Serum – I’ve raved about this product before, like in my last bumpdate post. It is truly a miracle worker for fixing up any blemishes, redness, or other unruly areas. It smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling so soft. I definitely can’t live without this!
