Fall/Winter Looks

Fall Transitional Pieces + Styling Ideas

I know, I know. I was the one making fun of bloggers for already posting fall outfits when it's still 90* out. However, now that it's in the low 80*s/upper 70*s in Cincinnati, the nights can get kind of chilly! Ask my husband. Anytime we have dinner outside I want to get our fire pit going because I'm always cold. So, today I thought I'd share an outfit that will work for summer, but also provide layers to keep warm when the temps dip at night. As an added bonus, I kept all the pieces from the same retailer (hello free shipping) and each item is under $100! I hope you enjoy this post and the best part is, these pieces are versatile so you can mix and match them for summer AND fall! I would go as far to say as not only are these transitional pieces, but you'll find they quickly become essential pieces, as well.

Ripped Jeans ($88) – These jeans are my FAVORITE. They are so comfortable and have just the right amount of distressing. They are perfect for any season. Be sure to size down, as they run big. See how I styled mine herehere, here, and here.
Striped Tee ($18) – Every woman should have a striped tee in their closet. It's the easiest piece to mix and match and literally can go with anything. Stripes and leopard is probably my favorite print mixes. The slouchy fit of this would be great with shorts in the summer and jeans or leggings in the fall/winter. Plus, you can't beat the price! See how I rocked a striped tee herehereherehere, and here. See what I mean? Versatility at it's finest.
Leopard Heels ($69.95) – Much like the striped tee, I think every woman should have a pair of leopard heels in her closet. They are versatile and great for any season. One of my favorite looks from last year involved my leopard heels.
Leather Jacket ($98) – While a (faux) leather jacket will be the most pricey fall piece you'll probably purchase, you'll likely get the most wear out of it. I love the drapey front of this one and you can style this so many ways. See how I styled my fav faux leather jacket hereherehere, and here
Oxblood Bag ($32) – This is my favorite fall hue. I absolutely love the deep tones of this bag and think it will work with so many looks.
Aviators ($10) – Aviators are probably my favorite type of sunglasses because I think they flatter any face shape and can be worn year-round. These are a steal!
