June Empties

Who else is freaking out that the 4th of July is next week?! WHAT! Time is seriously flying by and being busy again is both amazing and exhausting. I had my first work trip this week that included my first flight since March 5, 2020. How is that even a real sentence! Anyway, I hope you all are staying healthy and well and enjoying being able to see family and friends more regularly again. Let’s dive into what I finished up this month, as there were a lot of skin and hair goodies.

Le Labo Santal 33 Detergent: This stuff is a TREAT! It’s definitely beyond expensive for a detergent but it is truly a slice of heaven. I only use this on our linens and towels and crawling into bed seriously feels like you’re in a hotel. Because I use it sparingly, it lasted a LONG time so I justified the price. This would make a great hostess gift or treat for yourself. I highly recommend everything from this brand, but especially this.

Global Healing Oxy-Powder Cleanse: This may be the greatest health/wellness product I’ve ever discovered. I’m already on my second bottle. These are incredible for keeping you regular, reducing bloat, and providing mental clarity like nothing else I’ve used. Definitely follow the instructions but read the reviews and then experience the magic for yourself. These are truly amazing.

OGX Argan Oil Conditioner: I grabbed this on a whim when I ran out of my conditioner [I’m not incredibly loyal to S&C where I am pretty loyal to styling products]. I do need sulfate-free, though. This was *fine*. Not bad, not great. I do prefer the L’Oreal Ever line to this, but this did the job. I love argan oil as an ingredient and this did make my hair pretty soft. OGX has tons of different offerings, so check them out if you need a drugstore sulfate-free option.

L’Oreal Paris 8 Second Wonder Water: This stuff is so good! I outlined how I use this in this post, but this stuff is truly a wonder. This made my hair so soft and silky and easy to straighten. I will say, it does have a warming sensation, so if you have a sensitive scalp, this may not be for you. I’ll definitely buy this again in the fall/winter when I put more heat on my hair and need extra hydration.

Bobbi Brown Lip Balm in Bare Pink: This is another product that was *fine*. It’s pretty expensive for what it is, but if you like bougie lip balms you may like this. I think I prefer this color more, but overall, there are better balms out there.

Up & Up Deep Cleaning Pore Strips: I bought these on a whim [I think during the same trip as that OGX conditioner, ha!], and I should’ve just gone for the Biore. These are not the best pore strips I’ve tried, and I’ll definitely spring the few extra bucks next time for the ones I know get the job done.

Bliss Drench & Quench Hydrator c/o: This was sent in PR and it was so nice! It’s VERY hydrating and the formula is exactly what it says, a quencher. This actually might be too hydrating for my combo skin in the summer, but I’d definitely revisit this in the winter when I need the moisture. If you have dry skin, this may the a great option for you. Bliss delivers 9.5 times out of 10, and this was one of them.

Bliss 5 minute Facial [detoxifying] c/o: I shared one of these back in April, and this one was good too. If you’re a fan of charcoal masks, this would be a nice treat for you. I think I prefer the exfoliating ones, but that’s the beauty of these; there’s different choices for what you need. For the price point and time commitment, these are a lovely little self-care treat.
