March Empties

Hey guys! I’m back with this month’s empties. March brought our first family trip in almost 6 months – DISNEY WORLD! I used up a lot of samples on that trip [like my AG1 packets and this cleanser I really liked], but here’s what I used up at home:

Becca Hydra-Mist Setting Powder: When news got out about Becca closing up shop, I was so sad for this product alone. This is an incredible setting powder. I love the netting so you don’t use too much and it sets everything beautifully. No creasing, no caking. If you can get your hands on it, I highly recommend it.

Essie Gel Couture Topcoat: This top coat is incredible. When used with the gel couture polishes, I can get an easy 7-10 days with no chips. Highly recommend.

Benefit Gimme Brow: I got this as a freebie and threw it in my travel bag and I really like it! The brush is small so it allows for close strokes. I do think there are cheaper alternatives out there, but if you’ve been curious about this one, it is a good option.

Aveda Smooth Infusion Hair Cream: I was influenced by a blogger [can’t remember who now] to try this out. I have INCREDIBLY coarse/curly/kinky hair, especially at my roots, and figured this might be a good fill-in in between keratin treatments. That said, I think my hair might be a bit too much for this product. I didn’t notice any sizeable difference from this. If you have loose waves, this may help iron those out, but I won’t repurchase this. I will say I only wash my hair about once per week, and this does say you should use it frequently to see results, so perhaps my wash schedule just doesn’t align with the instructions here. Reading the reviews is really helpful to see if this could work for you. Alas, it was a bust for me.

Diptyque Eau Rose: I’ve raved about Diptyque ad nauseum at this point, but their fragrances are like none other. They small so amazing but REAL. The older I get, the less I can handle super synthetic fragrances, and these are just incredible. This smells like actual roses. The brand is pricey, but worth it.

L’Oreal True Match Nude Serum: Wow, wow, wow. I found my new favorite face product. I wear less and less makeup these days and found my old faithful [this] was just too much for my new routine. This product is AMAZING. It’s lightweight but buildable and has hyaluronic acid, so it’s makeup and skincare in one. The finish is so gorgeous and glowy. I don’t think I’ve ever finished a face makeup product before the expiration date, ha! This is so, so good and I’m already on my second bottle. This has reached holy grail status for me.
