Designing my Dream Home Office with California Closets

If you caught my Instastories recently, I shared that I’m redoing my home office and I’ve enlisted the help of California Closets! I’m so excited to be working with them on this venture that has been a LONG time coming. If you’ve been following for a while, you may remember this [now super cringey] post, that eventually evolved to this [a bit better], but I had big dreams in mind for this space. After a few years that included some heavy duty expenses, 2020 seemed to be the year to tackle this with all of those behind me. So, I called them up, and within a few days, my designer LauraLee [from CA Closets Cincinnati] was at my house ready to grant all my wishes like the genie she is! The initial consultation took about 2 hours from start to finish, and what started with me relaying my laundry list of must haves and wants, ended with her rendering a lifelike version of what it will look like! I am so excited to see the final process and was even more excited to hear that the though the installation will take about 7-9 weeks to get on their calendar, once they’re in, it’ll be done in a day! After our consultation was over, she invited me to come check out the showroom, and boy am I glad I did! The experience is SO much more than when they come to your home and seeing all the finishes, hardware, and design options they have was almost mind-blowing.

When you walk in, there’s a seating area and a large monitor where you can view all the styles they offer as well as some killer before and afters to give you an idea of what they can accomplish.

ROOM/SHELVING OPTIONS – There are endless possibilities of what kind of rooms and spaces they can work on. Closets, nurseries, kitchen, bathrooms, you name it, it’s possible.

HARDWARE/ACCESSORIES/LIGHTING – Again, the options here are limitless. They have tons of different finishes, hardware, track lighting, and details to offer your space.

DESIGN STUDIO – This is where we got to sit down, get to work, make some choices, and see the design come to life. Since LauraLee had come to my home for our initial consultation, a lot of this work was already done but seeing it in the studio live on the big screen was a really special experience. I highly recommend getting in the showroom first before the in-home consultation so you can see all the options before deciding which ones will fit in your space.

EXTRA PERKS – If all the above wasn’t enough, they even have a functioning kitchen with snacks and drinks for you during your consultation, as well as a whole downstairs level that is filled with conference rooms that are open to the public! If you need to hold a meeting, you can call them and reserve the space. There’s even a separate entrance. They have 2 or 3 functional meeting rooms with chairs and a large monitor to project, and they even have a podcasting room!

I highly recommend checking out California Closets’ location in Rookwood in person and seeing all the magic they have to offer. Stay tuned for the final product that I will be sharing on here in the coming weeks! Let me know if you have any questions or feel free to contact LauraLee directly at @[email protected].
