Fall/Winter Looks

Favorite Outerwear

Now that winter is coming (any GoT fans?!), or depending where you are maybe winter is already here, I wanted to share some of my favorite outerwear pieces. Here in Cincinnati, we get probably 2 really bad/cold/snowy months, while the rest are truly temperamental and you don’t know whether you need a light topper or a parka. So, I’m fully prepared. I have a range of different outerwear pieces that I love equally so I thought I’d share! What outerwear pieces get the most use in your closet?!
Striped Topper – This is a great piece to make an otherwise basic outfit more interesting. It’s more lightweight than other outerwear options, so it’s perfect to transition from fall to winter. I love layering this over lightweight sweaters and jeans. See the full post on this topper here.
Classic Black Peacoat [under $50] – This is the quintessential outerwear piece in my opinion. It can go over any outfit and is plenty warm for winter’s cold temperatures. You can wear this over everything from sweaters to dresses and look so classic and polished. Everyone should have a good peacoat in their rotation, including the men. This one from Nordstrom is one of my favorite pieces and it’s so affordable for the quality. See the full post here.
Camel Trench – This is another more lightweight option that is great for transitional temps or those occasional more warm days. I love the color and fit of this one. It’s perfect over sweaters and blouses and really keeps the look classic. See the full post here.
Winter Parka – This is the coat I reach for on winter’s coldest days. I love the faux fur trim of the hood. This coat is heavy and warm without being too bulky. It comes in a few colors but this peachy pink is unlike anything else I have. If you want a more classic option, the gray is beautiful. See the full post here.
