January Empties

Happy end of January! It was a crazy month and I used a TON of products, mostly moisturizers! I guess it’s that time of the year! I loved being able to try so many different products and definitely have thoughts about all of them so here we go:

Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Body Butter – This is hands down my all-time favorite moisturizer. It smells amazing, feels incredible, and does the job year round. I cannot recommend this enough and always have a back-up on hand. I truly can’t live without it!

Ole Henriksen Truth Cleanser – I really liked this cleanser! I’m a big fan of the Ole Truth line and this was no exception. I have a few other cleansers I’m currently working through but I’d definitely repurchase this down the road.

Ole Henriksen C-Rush Gel Creme – This was definitely an Ole month! I loved this moisturizer! I’ve definitely felt my skin glowing lately and I think the Truth Cleanser, Serum, and Gel Creme regimen is to thank for that.

Ole Henriksen Goodnight Glow Sleeping Creme – I believe I got this in my Playbox and I loved this, too! Ole Henriksen never steers me wrong. This smells so amazing [like sweet candy] and felt so luxurious to slather on before bed. Definitely wash your face in the morning before putting on makeup, but this creme was divine.

Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer – This is a moisturizer that actually fell a bit flat for me. It was REALLY sticky, almost goopy. It smelled good but the texture was just too weird. It was also really thick. I would wear this at night before bed and my face would still feel tacky when I woke up. If you have intensely dry skin, this may be a good option for you, but it was too much for me.

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Serum – I am hit or miss on Drunk Elephant products. This product was okay, but not worth the price tag in my opinion. It felt exactly like this product but, like, 3x the price. Just go the Hydra Genius if you like this type of gel-ish moisturizer.

estora Balance + Immunity supplements – These were two totally new products to me. I had complained on Instagram back in November or so of 2018 that I was always feeling tired. I had a friend send me these and I actually really enjoyed them. I definitely felt more energized after introducing the Balance into my routine. The Immunity was good, but I already take a probiotic, so I don’t feel that one was personally necessary. I definitely plan on keeping Balance around, though.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Concealer – I really loved this concealer. The Infallible line is usually always really good for me and this concealer was no exception. It was really hydrating and gave a nice brightness. I did have to set it with powder to avoid creasing, but I do that anyway so that didn’t bother me. If you want a brightening concealer, give this a try.

L’Occitane Amanda Shower Oil – I have used so many of these up and I love it. I mix a few drops in with my normal shower gel and it’s just enough fragrance and oil to make my skin super soft. This is a nice little treat for your shower routine.

Secret Luxe Lavender deodorant – I had bought a few of these and am just now working through the last one. I love the smell of this deodorant and it definitely keeps me dry. Right now I’m trying this aluminum-free one, but if you’re a Secret gal, this is a good option.

So, there you have it. As I said, I definitely used up a ton of moisturizers this month, but I was glad to narrow down which ones worked for me and which didn’t. Have you tried any of these?! Let me know in the comments!
