Splurge vs Steal – Boots

I love me a good pair of boots. In the winter, I live in them. Whether they are casual or dressy, boots are the perfect way to keep warm but also look stylish. Here, I am going to show you a variety of boots at different price points that are a must-have in any girls’ closet.

| WINTER BOOTS |

Sorel is probably my favorite winter boot brand. They are so chic yet incredibly warm and durable. However, there are other affordable options out there, like these from Lamo for under $80.

| OVER THE KNEE BOOTS |

I have been absolutely loving OTK boots this season. In one piece, you are able to instantly dress up any look. They look beautiful with everything from jeans to dresses. These Stuart Weitzman’s are definitely on my lust list, but this pair from Nordstrom Rack is under $30! Can’t beat that. See how I wore my OTK boots here and here.

| RAIN BOOTS |

In the winter, even though you often need snow boots, sometimes it gets super slushy outside and you don’t want to ruin any suede or leather boots you may have. Enter rain boots. With boot socks, these can still be warm, but will protect you from any wetness outside. These Burberry Boots are gorgeous but you can get these from Chinese Laundry for almost a tenth of the price! | WEDGE BOOTS |

Wedge boots are great for those days that you’ll be walking a lot but still need some great boots to keep you warm. The wedge adds height but doesn’t take away from comfort. They come in many colors, but cognac is my favorite. Nordstrom Racks wins everything for offering these under $30, but these Kenneth Cole beauties would be worth the splurge. I wore my cognac wedge boots for a football game and they were the perfect shoe for walking all day.

| BOOTIES |

A chic pair of booties is a must-have in any closet. These are the shoes you’ll grab when wanting to dress up in the winter but still keep your feet warm. I love gray booties, because they are a little more unexpected than black and I’ve found that you can wear them with so much. See how I styled mine here. These Michael Antonio’s are less than $30 and gray is available (click on the button and select color once you get to the site). I actually just bought them in red. Talk about unexpected! If you’re looking for a classic piece, Pour La Victoire booties are gorgeous and timeless.

| RIDING BOOTS |

Riding boots are you quintessential fall boots. They are classic and add a touch of prep to your step. If you invest in a quality pair of leather riding boots, you’ll be set for life. However, if you like playing around with color and styles, there are more affordable options. Frye is an iconic riding boot brand and will give you a pair of boots to love for years to come. I’ve found a similar looking pair for under $40, as well!
